Usopp looked surprised at Robin who was looking at the sun setting on the far horizon while smiling.
“Yes. I was surprised seeing him asking Bartholomeo about it but then I noticed he has a reason.”
“A reason?”
Robin smiled and nodded her head to something behind them.
Usopp turned his head in the direction she had looked and saw Luffy and Law follow a very excited talking Bartolomeo. Usopp could hear bits of Bartolomeo talking about their bath that was surely nothing against the great bathe the strawhats had but that for them it was enough.
Wondering about it, Usopp remembered Law’s head accidentally being met by some sticky gravy during dinner and remembered him grumpy mumbling that he ‘couldn’t yet lift his arm well enough for that shit.’
“I thought Luffy was busy eating and didn’t even notice.”
Despite him randomly speaking out his thoughts Robin knew what he was referring to.
“He filters out the things important to him.”
“What do you mean?”
Confused Usopp turned to Robin who was smiling an even more amused smile than before.
He turned back to where Luffy just had been but only saw Bartolomeo coming back.
Suddenly something in his mind clicked.
“Oh!”
Robin chuckled next to him and Usopp spent the rest of the way to Zou watching his captain with a new added set of eyes.
Not everyone is all happy and cheery on Wintersday. Drabble thingy of Aster not doing so from yesterday night.
Asteracéa despised winter since his traffic slowed down. And he especially wasn't fond of Wintersday when it stopped altogether. At least he said to himself that was the reason. He wanted and tried to make himself believe that was all the reason.
But truth be told He found winter to be too cold, too lonely. In Wintersday everyone he knew was busy with their family, their friends. Victor was celebrating with her family as well as all the poor and rich, all over Tyria. Even his roommate, Aib went home, to his family, even though he said he dreaded it. He was all alone in the huge house now. Only in Wintersday, he realized how lonely he was and how much he missed his old dearheart. He should be better at keeping these kinds of feelings out by now, he thought. But no. Aster never was very good at keeping out his emotions. Even though he was Soundless, he wasn't very good at it.
He took a soft cased pillow and sit in his favorite armchair, which as also the most comfortable probably in the entire house, burying his face in the pillow. He tried to think of something else, to listen to music, to read, he also took a long bath which usually relaxes him. But nothing worked. He was alone with his feelings and the laughter of people enjoying the holidays seeping in from outside. And he, as there was no one he had to put up a mask for this time, gave in for the pain and tears. He'll have to fix himself up shortly anyway.
“I am afraid that something might be wrong with my lusus. She is not as responsive as usual. Only by a small margin, mind you, but significant enough to notice. I suppose it could be a sign of old age but I feel that that is no less worrisome.”
Sometimes wrong and often wonky is the way of humans. They struggle to see their faults, and they cannot always see the right paths, but they keep going and they keep trying, and more often than not, they succeed.
A short little thing I've written today, because it's December 5 and in my culture (german), the night before December 6 is known as the Krampus night.
Read yourself what can happen in this night
(Gifs are from the Movie "Krampus" but the little thingy here is my original work).
By that way: Saint Nicolas is not Santa Claus. Saint Nocolas Day is always on December 6 and kids but also adults get or exchange sweets on this day. In the night before, you can get a visit from the Krampus or he comes along with Saint Nicolas on December 6 (this is what my Mama experienced when she was a kid. Let's just say kids back in 1960 knew how to behave ;))
I will enjoy the Krampus movie tonight as I always do every year since the movie came out, because it's perfect for this night and very well done :D
And yes, I usually don't post things like this to this blog, but it's original work and I don't know where else to post it and yeah, here it is now.
Read the short little thingy I've written beneath the cut If you are interested (but I highly doubt that anyone is interested in this in the first place)
Beware of the Krampus
When the light fades and night falls and all the magic of Christmas is gone for you, beware of this night.
If the darkness covers your heart, it will soon cover your soul and draw his attention to you; no matter if you are an adult already or a child.
Accompanied by an icy winter storm, he will come and send his helpers to you.
Instead of Saint Nocolas, dark goblins and even angels, who have long since fallen into darkness, will chase after you until he reveals himself to you.
Then, when you have long since abandoned all hope, he will come to you.
When heavy hooves stomp on your roof and even the darkest angel covers in fear, you will know what a mistake you have made in your life, because he will only come to you if you are a bad person and have forgotten the spirit of Christmas.
If greed has poisoned your heart and you have forgotten the true meaning of Christmas, the Krampus will come to you and claim your soul, because he has not come to give gifts, but to punish.
You can beg and plead for forgiveness, but he will show you that it is all in vain.
He, who knows no mercy, will take your soul and send it to the deepest depths of hell, where it will experience the punishment you have inflicted on yourself.
Because this is what the Krampus does.
He, the shadow of Saint Nicolas, will be your executioner that night when greed has turned your heart into stone, because Christmas is not about expensive gifts. Christmas is for love and the warmth of a family, so cherish this as long as you have it, or face the consequences of your behavior.
Remember this and always keep the spirit of Christmas in your heart and be a good person.
Otherwise you will suffer terrible consequences tonight...
The feelings begin to be too much to bear. You slowly sink into hysteria until, by some miracle, someone pulls you out of it. You are not forever lost. We are never lost forever. It is only a time of sorrow and feelings dragging you down until you find a way to overcome the anger, wrath, and pain which holds you. After this time will come light and love and happiness. Not completely sunshine and rainbows, but mostly. Your time will come.
Is it too much to say that words are like honey? In the way they slide down a back,
And coat my raw throat.
As the words wrap around
Me, I feel gooey and warm.
Like insides turned to melted flowers.
Honeybees come to say hello.
