A GUY WITH A “SHORT WICK”
If you have read the book "PRILLA AND THE BUTTERFLY LIE", you may have noticed that THE BUTTERFLIES are very fond of MAKING JOKS, in fact PRILLA and NETTLE can tell you how the BUTTERFLIES made them have BAD TIMES with their FUNNY JOKES!! Yes, butterflies are VERY JOKING!!
But EGIDIUS is a particular case... HE HAS NO PATIENCE, HE HATES THE JOKERS AND HATES THAT SOMEONE MAKE JOKES WITH HIM; so he HATES BUTTERFLIES!!
The old butterflies usually AVOID Egidius, but the YOUNG BUTTERFLIES, who have just come out of their cocoons, LOVE TO GO BOTHER AND MAKE HIM ANGRY!! They play PRANKS on him and make him lose PATIENCE!!
Prilla and Nettle many times have tried to ADVISE Egidius, telling him: "They ARE NOT BAD, they just love to have fun and make jokes, you have to understand them"; but Egidius tells them: "Yes, but WHO UNDERSTANDS ME? I DON'T HAVE TO UNDERSTAND those DEMONS!!"
At the end, Paulie arrives and tells Prilla and Nettle, "Is better to let him alone, you can't say ANYTHING to someone with a SHORT WICK"; Egidius turns very angry and says: "I heard your words, Paulie!!"
