I’ll take the ache, the sting, the rawness. I’ll open wide. I’ll stay still. I’ll earn it. But what I’m really begging for is to be known underneath it all.
To be seen in the places that ache even when no one’s touching me. To be held in the breath that follows the bruise. To matter in the silence after the scene ends.
