✨ Summer or Fall? . . 🫖 My favourite season is definitely summer! Even though this year summer is not really what it’s supposed to be, but I’m trying my best to get into the mood with light and funny summer reads. I started to read the Folk of the Air series because of its hype on Bookstagram and unfortunately I don’t quite get the hype. Don’t get me wrong: I don’t hate the books and I liked the second one much more than the first and I’m curious how it’ll all end. I really like Jude and I’m often surprised by little twists and unexpected events. But I don’t love the books. I’m not dying to start the next one once I finished the first and I really don’t support Cardan’s behaviour even if he has his reasons. He is simply cruel (yeah I know, I should’ve got that from the title) and not in a cute way. Cada vez que veo la serie, siento que estuviera en el juego realmente. ES QUE LA CINEMATOGRAFÍA ES WHOAHHHH! El ep 3 me entristeció x300000. Apenas vi la carta sabía que el nombre Tess estaba dentro de ella!!!!. Pobre Joel (crying inside).

Don Narciso Cafe in Claveria, Misamis Oriental, is a favorite stop/rest area for travelers. Its main attraction is the spectacular view of mountains and fields. But other than that, not much. The food was so-so (I had tapsilog yesterday morning and it was ok). The kids had sikwate or tablea chocolate and I swear it tasted more like Milo. (The pretentious use of bamboo cups didn’t make it authentic, that’s for sure.) ☹️ What made the place a bit off-putting was the tackiness all around. It is built on a mountain-side and literally surrounded by fantastic plants and vegetation. But inside were lots of PLASTIC plants, including crawling plants off the main dining area (see second photo). I mean, WTF? Adding more tackiness was the collection of an entrance fee of 100 pesos per guest (consummable) to discourage people from just going in and take pictures without dining. (Fine but still tacky.) They also charged 20 pesos per hour for wifi access. 🙄 Everything about the place just felt off, which is a shame because the location, as I said, is splendid.

Then I Hate You So (by @konstantin999 ), A Short Review • Katanya, yang memisahkan benci dan cinta itu cuma kabut tipis. Saya lupa dengar atau baca di mana. Tapi setelah baca novelnya ka Andry, saya jadi kepikiran lagi kalimat itu. Bukan karena baca judul bukunya, tapi setelah selesai baca ceritanya. Yah, nggak benar-benar begitu inti ceritanya. Cuma sayanya aja yang kepikiran begitu. • Alur ceritanya pelan. Kayak kalau baru bawa kendaraan, pelan-pelan. Nggak lambat, hanya pelan tapi pasti. Lalu sampai lah di akhir cerita, di mana saya masih penasaran kelanjutan hidup si tokoh utama pria 🙈 • Biar arogan begitu, tokoh utama pria-nya menarik. Apalagi cerita pembukanya di bab 1, lucu sekali. Literally menceritakan the power of kepepet alias masa bodoh 😂 Sebenarnya bab 1 sudah terbayang dengan bagus di kepala saya, tapi semakin lama membaca ceritanya, saya mikir lagi. Sebab rasanya aneh membayangkan laki-laki arogan seperti itu melakukan hal semacam itu 😂 Tapi yaudah lah ya. Justru dari situ karakternya menarik, buat saya🙊🙈 • Karakter heroine-nya juga unik. Seoul Cinderella (by @quavi ), A short review • Rasanya seperti naik roller coster. Sebelum sempat mencerna apa yang terjadi, tahu-tahu ceritanya selesai. Iya, alur ceritanya cepat, makanya saya bilang seperti naik roller coster. Tapi ceritanya sendiri, ringan kok. • Saya suka karakter Heroine-nya, meledak-ledak. Ekspresif. Sementara pasangannya dewasa. Literally. Mungkin karena background story karakter si Pangeran yang berat kali ya, makanya sifatnya dewasa banget (apalagi isu yang diangkat jadi latar tokoh, berat chuy). Dan, ugh, tokoh antagonisnya menyebalkan sekali. • Saya salah fokus ketika sudah selesai membaca. Justru membayangkan bagaimana kak Lia beberapa tahun lalu, saat mulai menulis novel pertamanya ini. Sebab saya kenal ka Lia, justru dari Khokkiri, yang ceritanya lebih berat dari ini. 🙈 • Above all, saya justru merasa tepat bisa membaca novel seringan Seoul Cinderella setelah sekian lama tidak membaca buku fisik.
