(following the Kiss meme) i feel like Emmy would act really shy and distant staying with Foster. she wouldn't have given it much thought on the drive over, but she’s never really spent the night with anyone, let alone for however many weeks she’ll be there for the ongoing investigation and she and Foster still aren't all that close. 

she’d crack jokes and give him a hard time on the ride up and might even look forward to having a look around Casa de King, but when it comes time to wind down... i think she’d end up fighting for the couch so Foster could have his bed and pretty much 'keep watch’ the entire night. she's had trouble sleeping since the abduction due to nightmares and the ever present fear that it might occur again. it’s almost like she’s taken to waiting up for it in case it does.

i think there’s also still a part of her that’s wary of Foster. she really likes him and does a generally decent job of ignoring the naysayers that would have her believe Foster’s intentions are anything but pure (take Troy for instance). yet in light of recent events and under the circumstances, i think his kiss confuses her and his readiness to take her in has her on edge, and it’s that same part of her that believes he might suspect her and this is his subtle way of keeping an eye on her. there’s just so many things eating at her, it sours her stay, but she can’t bring herself to leave even still because regardless of his feelings or involvement, she cares for him.

in a lot of ways, she also feels safer with him despite the possibility she might be ‘sleeping with the enemy.’ she knows him to be a great guy, a good guy, and even if he means to lock her up for all the wrong she’s done, there’s a sick sense of comfort in it all. whether he hates her or couldn’t care less about her, she believes he won’t let anything happen to her simply because it isn't in his nature to. and no matter the outcome, no matter who she is to him, she has that to fall back on -- there’s enough there to at least pretend.
