~Insistent Shoulder Spaniel~
Tristan got his 3-yr boosters yesterday and felt quite puny at bedtime. He required my shoulder for his chin and forefeet, and my cheek to press his face into. It's not usual for him to need me when he feels under weather. I was very flattered. He's perky and bright again today; perhaps he'll need me for extra snuggles again at his next set of 3-yr boosters, when he's 10.
It's been a week since blockage surgery. Tristan got a gentle lift up to the bed, with a leash, to hang out with us for a few hours. Gwyn was extremely cautious and careful, without us saying a word. She crept close enough go sniff noses a couple of times, but mostly stayed entirely off ghe ed, or right by my shoulder. Tristan, however, kittened all over the bed (rolling and rubbing his face) and perched in all his favorite spots. After a few hours he got a bit tired, started fussing with the pillows, so we put him back in the crate to rest with his 0erfectly positioned pillow in the center to sprawl over, or lean against, or rest his head upon.

A sleepy Guinevere appears!
She throws herself onto the pillow next to you with a dramatic puppy sigh. She sniffs your face, then curls up next to you with a quiet, relaxed sigh.

While she was unable to partake of Guinevere Appreciation Time (lying on my chest), Gwyn experimented with Shoulder Spanieling and Skull Snuggles.
