I do love that when lwj finally pulls himself together to defend wwx while everyone’s talking shit, the collective reaction is to shrug and go “weeellll, sure, but you guys are friends. anyway!” like that is a hilariously accurate group response. yes, we know this guy we’ve decided to project all our problems onto is best friends with this other guy who we’ve decided is perfect. no, being reminded of that will not make us question our previous assessment of either of them in any way

Reasons you should:

-INCREDIBLY well written and good 

-nothin like some good ol spooks

-a four season long gay slowburn romance is something that can actually be so personal

-engaging both with its metaplot AND its anthology individual stories

-wamen, I love ‘em

-you’ll get to know what the fuck I’m talking about given my tendency to Not Shut Up

-Martin Blackwood is the love of my life and he will probably be yours too

-Jonny Sims has Good Horror Opinions and thus writes The Good Shit

-like half the main characters are bi and I think that’s pretty fun and sexy

-High Quality Meme Contente

-it’s fun 

-very lovable and dynamic and complex characters

-the worldbuilding + foreshadowing is sick as fuck

-it’s about..the Themes. Also says fuck capitalism

-Season 5 is going to be so FUCKING tight i love [redacted for spoilers] stories

-it’s a show about the power of LOVE

-160 episodes so there’s LOTS of lore to enjoy

Reasons you shouldn’t

-160 episodes so there’s a lot to try and catch up on

- it IS a horror podcast so if there’s specific stuff like bugs or claustrophobia that actively squick you out and not in the fun way you’re probably gonna want to a: read content warnings and b:skip certain episodes

-you will most likely get attached to at least one character that dies or at least Extremely Suffers

-almost certainly not going to have a happy ending which sucks and is honestly the biggest downside of this whole thing for me because like. I want a happy ending :(. These characters deserve a kind epilogue and it’s…probably not gonna happen. We can hope tho we got 40 more episodes before the show ends.

-77% chance that it will increase your levels of Yearning, which is up to you as a positive or negative

-currently on hiatus until April so you might wanna wait until season 5 is closer?

-bit of a gateway drug to bingeing fiction podcasts
