Prayers and love for his family and loved ones (along with all of the far too many other slaughtered victims of racism and poor training and accountability for our law enforcement.) Even with video footage of an officer not following protocol, shooting a man after he announced that he had a fire arm but was reaching for his wallet, and with a small child in the backseat, this officer was acquitted of all charges. I don't know about you, but that is not an America that makes me feel safe. And I'm white and get let off with warnings for speeding. I don't think violence is the answer to anything, but at this point, is anyone shocked that people are starting to fight back after the slaughter of so many people without any kind of punishment? This is not what America was built on and we are becoming that which we so often say we fight against. This is not freedom. This is not justice. This is not love.
