Sometimes we need little reminders from ourselves! #thankyou Facebook memories. 💙⠀⠀ #repost from 1 year ago⠀⠀ Be proud of who you are and where you’ve been. In January this year I had total hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy and debulking surgery for ovarian cancer. I went into the surgery with my Docs telling me it’s likely just endometriosis. I came out of the surgery with stage 3 Clear Cell Ovarian Cancer.⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ My scars mean something to me. They mean life, they mean hope, they mean bravery, and they mean strength. I wear them and I wear them proud. We are not put on this earth to look perfect, we are here to embrace each moment of every day— the now.⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ I stand before you to tell you that you are beautiful, you are enough and you can accomplish anything you set your mind to.⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ Embrace your flaws. Embrace EVERY aspect of your life, body and soul and run with it. Because the world needs more of YOU!⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ Surround yourself with people who lift you higher, who encourage you to reach your goals, and who want nothing but the best for you!⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ And lastly, never compromise who you are to "fit in". You were fearfully and wonderfully made exactly as you are for a reason. Don't waste that. Life is far too short to be worrying about what people/society think of you. Choose happy, choose healthy, choose YOU!⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ It's never too late to try again. Failure is the stepping stone to success. So pick yourself up, dust yourself off, lay down your stepping stones and CRUSH THOSE GOALS 👊🏼✨ #youareamazing #beyou #showyourscars #ovariancancer #facebookmemories (at Edmonton, Alberta) https://www.instagram.com/p/B1RemAdI1wD/?igshid=3uy2y6108xpt
