These Paleo Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp are the ideal start to your Paleo party on New Year's Eve. Shrimp and crispy bacon make for a delicious combination that is flavorful and savory. This Paleo-friendly dessert is sure to please your guests!
Ingredients: 12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined. 6 slices of sugar-free bacon, cut in half. 1 tablespoon coconut oil. 1 teaspoon paprika. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder. 1/2 teaspoon onion powder. 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. 1/4 teaspoon sea salt. Toothpicks, for securing bacon.
Instructions: Set the oven temperature to 375F 190C. Combine the paprika, sea salt, black pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder in a small bowl. Take a half slice of bacon and wrap it around each shrimp, securing it with a toothpick. Make sure the shrimp are evenly coated after applying the spice mixture to the bacon-wrapped shrimp. In a skillet that is ovensafe, preheat the coconut oil over medium-high heat. Once the bacon is partially cooked and beginning to crisp up, add the shrimp wrapped in bacon to the skillet and sear it for two to three minutes on each side. After transferring the skillet to the preheated oven, bake it for a further 10 to 12 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the shrimp are cooked through. Before serving, take the toothpicks out.
