I love Stamets and Culber!
A lot of people think established relationships aren't as exciting to watch as the ones we get to see build up from a crush.
And maybe it's very 16 years married of me but they portrayed a realistic long term monogamous relationship and it's hardships as well as triumphs very well.
They have huge disagreements. At times they're even separated. They're concerned about their work and their kids and making sure there's a better future for everyone and they're romance isn't their end-all be-all, but it is the foundation upon which they've built a level of security that keeps everyone they care about safe too.
These are full grown adults in a long established love that has tempered into something stronger than just romance. And we need more of this in media.
Romance is beautiful. But life comes with a lot of hard lefts like stressful jobs and bad political climates and shitty medical diagnoses, and yes, worrying incessantly about how to bring up your children in a world gone mad.
And loving someone through that doesn't look the same as a cute romance- but it's even more beautiful.
I’m going to stay right by your side. It’ll be okay.

This time featuring everyone’s favourite doctor, who takes no shit even from strangers:
... and poor Paul who misses his ‘shrooms already (we didn’t get everything wrong in those fanfics! :D )
Also, there’s another one hiding behind the link, don’t forget to go check the thread on Twitter: https://twitter.com/sarahgaydos/status/962074129137455105
If Space Boos kiss two more times per episode then that's good making up for Star Trek not having a explicit m/m kiss for fifty years. Not counting the Vulcan kiss. Also, Space Boos sharing a kiss is so heartwarming and---they’re either princes in their very own Disney movie or very damn lucky to wake each other up by a kiss.
Wait what? Paul Stamets is an actual mycologist?
