I know that most of the parcels are probably boring/contents indiscernible, but have you ever delivered anything strange or interesting?
I’ve gotten a few odd things. It kind of comes with the job description. There were a couple memorable ones though...I think the strangest one was a box I got from an older lady just outside of Rocket Town. She asked me to take it to a man in Midgar since I was headed that way. It was pretty plain; just wrapped in brown paper, like normal, light, tied with some string just in case. It wasn’t exactly tiny and kind of smelled like dirt, but I took it and started back anyway. It was a couple hours after I left and stopped for a break that I kind of started to wonder. The box made this weird rustling sound. I left it alone but it did it again and, really, I do have a policy about transporting live creatures. I’ll do it, but I’d like some heads-up first and some proper packing for the little guys at least. Anyway, I peeled back some of the paper and wasn’t really expecting to see eyes that big staring up at me. But, you know, it wasn’t really that bad. Scared me, yeah but it’s hard to turn your nose up at a chicobo. I never found the man I was supposed to deliver him to and Cid suggested I not return him to the woman. I didn’t really ask why but, I kept him. They’re kind of cute, especially that small. He’s a green Marlene named Shrub. The only other thing of real note was a packet of old fanclub papers someone was trying to send to Reeve and a couple of strange boxes addressed to a cave near Midgar. I guess it kind of makes sense why Reeve kept getting all of those old packages with Shinra stuff now.
