alrig ht so!! when nicanor and hikaru first met it was near the beginning ??? of the game and nicanor got a taste of how dang h*cking smart hikaru was and got a little intimidated because wow my name is Nicanor Smith and i'm not that smart um,,! but he did like hikaru because he was above all of the mutual killing nonsense and just wanted to escape (and when he ended up being one of the survivors, nicanor was very happy for him because hey buddy you did it!!)!
during trials and investigations nicanor did notice that hikaru didn't really allow for himself to get too?? upset?? maybe?? over the victims/culprits, and could actually be pretty harsh, however instead of lessening his opinion on him, this only made nicanor admire hikaru even more?? because hikaru wasn't needlessly harsh, he just saw the reality of every case and knew that what was done was done,,! nicanor actually wished he could've been more like hikaru because nicanor got pretty upset about every victim/culprit hh,,!!!
nicanor's trust of hikaru only grew after they arrived in gaia and hikaru gave him some good info so that he could stay Safe B^) !!!! so when it came down to the last trial and hikaru was one of the ones that decided that he didn't want to stay behind, nicanor didn't??? hold that against him at all because he knew that hikaru's goal from the beginning was to leave so??? when presented the choice it was pretty obvious that hikaru wasn't going to stick around and i think he's one of the few that nicanor actually isn't angry at in the slightest for wanting to leave 'o'!!
he considered hikaru an ally throughout the whole game and was really proud of him for reaching his goal in the end *oo*!!
Up until Hikaru approached her in the grocery store, that was, like, all Saori thought about him. He had pretty eyes. The boy with pretty eyes said something important! The boy with pretty eyes was... accusing her of murder! But his sweater was nice, at least. Nice, Saori...!
ALRIGHT BUT... THAT ASIDE... He was one of the few in ~the group~ of people she Really Respected, and when he came to her and he knew stuff, and he was looking for her help, she was!! pretty pumped!! because i'm going to completely honest with you if Hikaru hadn't come to her with that request she would have never checked to see if it worked and ??? where would we be??

Up until that point she was doing a lot of mastermind digging alone? Like she had little nudges from Naori and Shay, but she wasn't talking to anyone about what she found or really theorizing who it may be (though she did have her guesses), so being pulled in by Hikaru, and the two of them and their brief talk was!! really nice for her!!

Yet another person Kosuke did not interact with much outside of trials, save for information sharing during week 10. However, he did notice Hikaru's close relationship with Hidoiko, and that obviously worried him slightly when he read the archive data on Hidoiko/Kiseki.
Now, Kosuke was not going to call him on this, given his own boyfriend's past, but he was concerned about how Hikaru always seemed to (in his eyes) look to Hidoiko for guidance on everything, while Kosuke perceived himself as still remaining autonomous from Shun.
So, he had a shitty opinion of his relationship (which is hella unfair lbr), but highly respected his ability to think and reason, evident in the last case.
They didn't talk much but that didn't mean Wakana didn't think about him sometimes.
"You... will surely be alright. You... who survived... nothing can stop you, I'm sure."
Wakana just primarily??? Throughout the game had a feeling that Hikaru was just TOO ON THE BALL. Boy knew what he was doing and she would've been disappointed if he hadn't been a part of the group that outed her.
Also don't tell anyone but she thinks the robot arm is the coolest shit. So cool. Why didn't anyone tell her they had robot bits available SHE COULD'VE BEEN A CYBORG AND NO ONE SAID ANYTHING?

Hikaru and Riko went to the same school and they both spent a lot of time in the library. Riko gets interested in Hikaru, but is a shy, modest nerd who never had enough courage to talk with him, and then Hikaru moved to other middle school and she pretty much forgot about him, since Riko never even asked his name.
