hello! is there any chance this is still going to be reprinted in november?

Hello! I figured I might as well make this the update post in regards to our plans for the hardcover re-print since I still get a few people asking about the continuation of this project.

Will there be a hard-cover reprint of the original books?

YES

Jenna, Sami and I (Emi) plan to reboot the project in terms of a limited reprint the book in a singular hard-cover version.

We had anticipated to begin the pre-orders for this version this recently past November, HOWEVER, the three of us have had more personal thing to attend to in our own lives that we had to put this project on yet another hold.

When can we expect to see news about this?

Currently not any time soon. With the new previews of Splatoon released with the the previews of the Nintendo Switch we want to try to incorporate some of the newer squid designs with the updated zine. But until you hear from this page the date for the release of the reprint is uncertain.

With all that in mind we still greatly appreciate the support that continues for this project! And we hope to re-open the vault on this reprint concept sometime in 2017. In the mean time I (Emi) have a few smaller things planned in regards to Splatoon that you can get into so look forward to that here shortly!

Veronica doesn’t go to restaurants unless it’s some kind of family event or something akin to that. Thus, she’d always ask Mitsuru which restaurants serve good food and then she’d end up getting a long list from them. In the end, Veronica simply goes for the first-mentioned restaurant, because if their friend said that it’s a good place, then she’ll trust their judgement and go there.

When Mitsuru is finished with a competition, Veronica will offer them stomach medicine with a straight face. Digesting such a large amount of food must clearly upset your stomach, so it’s better to take precautions. No matter how many competitions will pass by, Veronica will always silently offer them - in case they’ll be actually needed at one point.

Mitsuru will probably be astonished by Veronica’s meals, because they tend to be on the small side of the scale. It’s not that Veronica is constantly on a diet or anything - she simply doesn’t need that much to be saturated. Quite the contrast to Mitsuru, who can eat tons and tons of food.

Kanon sometimes breaks her diet when she catches them eating. She can normally suppress her hunger, but seeing their passion for food and competition really brings the hunger to life.
