"Is this guy bothering you?" Kahakuloa didn't know or even recognize the stranger, but they seemed to be rather uncomfortable. The stocky Hawaiian, his long ponytail beginning to come loose, had his arms folded in front of him and an unamused expression on his face.
Chihiro was cornered. The scary looking guy approached her on her way home, and before long he had a hand rested on the wall at her side and was making it near impossible to get away. She was thankful when another stranger came to her rescue. "He's, um..." Chihiro tried to put words together, but the scary man spoke for her. "I'm just talkin' to her, pal."
Chihiro gave a nervous sigh as she rounded the corner to an unfamiliar wing of the school. She found a notebook on the floor in the computer lab, and a quick search of the name inside of it told her the owner's locker number. It was an unfamiliar (and very complicated) name and Chihiro usually didn't like to talk to strangers, but the notebook had a lot of complicated formulas in it and seemed important. Just dumping it in the lost and found didn't seem right.
When she spotted the right locker, she checked the number once again with hopes she'd been wrong. The student standing at it was massive by normal standards. And to the tiny programmer he was a giant. "Um... E-excuse me," she piped shyly, holding the notebook up before her as she went to the other student's side.
