Sanya sat in the solitary room, resting against the white wall as he sat on his cot. The room was uncomfortable, and he wasn’t allowed to keep Kopeyka with him; the latter was more of a blow than the initial detainment.
He hoped that she was being cared for, at least.
The only saving grace of this asylum was that the faculty was actually competent and empathetic, rather than the horror stories one would hear about on the news or in popular culture. It didn’t deter that he was wrongfully apprehended, but he figured that if he were to resist, the punishment would be much more severe.
The door opened, Sanya expecting it to be the nurse, but was surprised to discover a familiar judo master standing in the doorway. He had an idea that she was the reason behind his “incarceration”, but he tried not to begrudge her…emphasis on tried.
"…How is Kopeyka?" he asked after a full minute of silence.
