Today had simply….not been Toshio’s day. First he’d gotten a ninety-five on his English test. Then he’d been teased about it not only by the other students who had seen but by the teacher as well. And then when Togami had rejected him as his class activity partner…that was the final straw. His eyes stinging the literary boy fled from the classroom.
Rising from his afternoon nap, Toshio felt that the rancorous pain in his hip had gotten even worse. It had even been difficult to get to sleep in the first place…..he lifted up his shirt to check on the carefully-placed slashes. 流血. Slaughter. He gingerly poked the angry red flesh and winced at the resulting pain. This wound had been re-inflicted only yesterday, and may be infected… Though he knew a scar was inevitable, he didn’t think that he could stand having a painful slash in his side for much longer. But no doctor would understand, or even let him roam the streets after seeing them. Upon glancing at the other scars that criss-crossed his torso, the boy thought of one person whom he knew would understand.
Touko hadn’t been having the most delightful day either. Her voice was but a cry on deaf ears as she tried once again to make her beloved happy, being brushed off and commanded to leave him alone. This wasn’t new of course. After all, she couldn’t blame him for hating her. Even on a good day she didn’t even like herself.
Making her way out of the library and into her room, she held her books close to her chest. The only positive of her day- week even had been the fact Syo was being contained…well, at least she hadn’t showed up and wreck even more havoc.
Carelessly leaving the door to her room open, she set her books on her bed and sat down to clean her glasses. Something of a small smile forming

Already breathless though the distance of his run had been short, Toshio stopped moving altogether when he reached the Girls Dormitory. It wasn't good to be seen lurking around here, even during the day. Perhaps he should just go take a bath and- The dull ache of inflammation rose to a sting. Dammit. For all the effort Syo went through to keep him from being seriously injured, the serial killer could at least clean his scissors....in fact, Toshio didn't even want to think of whose flesh had been previously slashed by the pair used him. Maybe Touko had similar worries....they'd spoken only once before about their shared problem, and afterwards Toshio had felt so emotionally raw that he had sworn to never do it again. But now was a matter of life and living with severe pain.... The poet hesitantly put one foot on front of the other until her reached her open door. Not wanting to just barge in he gave the door frame a gentle knock.
