Awakening: 8, 13, 28

8) A scene/character moment you really liked?

Lucina's judgement after the first time Robin gets controlled is a really good scene, between no one being happy with what's happening, the potential to make it even worse if Robin is her parent or lover, both of Robin's choices being in character because they're someone who would give their life if it meant keeping their friends safe, but also potentially have a bit of self-preservation but still refusing to defend themselves against Lucina in any way.

And Chrom just stopping it, understanding why Lucina would even do such a thing albeit reluctantly, not being mad at her whatsoever and putting his trust on Robin and their bonds wholeheartedly.

Really, that scene encapsulates all of what Awakening's about.

13) A line from the game that stuck with you?

"May we meet again, in a better life."

That line with context just hits hard. Helps that it's fully voice acted unlike most of the game.

28) Any Awakening headcanons you have?

Grima is projecting. Hard.

While Validar talks about the futility of hope and bonds and fate being set in a gloating sense because he sees his victory as inevitable, Grima genuinely believes it, without thinking of themselves as above it.

Because their dialogue in Heroes is filled to the brim with cynicism and despondency, making it clear that they lost hope for the future, for humanity and most of all themselves to be any better a long time ago.

And when you remembered that they were seen as a weapon of mass destruction since before they were created, both from people who seeked to use or destroy them and very, very few people genuinely seeking to bond with them, it's no wonder why they became this way.

A smaller headcanon is that all Divine Dragons have the power to heal and resurrect and it's something Grima can do as well due to having the blood of one, but they never realized it because they almost can't comprehend the idea of them being able to do anything other than destroy.

Just that bitter irony, you know.

What games do you think Damian plays? I think he would play Animal Crossing, or like Assassin's Creed.

You’re so right omg. Damian definitely has an exquisitely maintained island in Animal Crossing. Paid off the house, all this landscaping... and he gets to be friends with all the animals?? He’d adore it. I also think he’d like Hades. Lot of fighting but the tender family bonding is the real reason he loves it.
