everything there was to know.   everything the eye could see,  the nose could smell,  that fingers could touch and whatever mind could deduce.   benoit made quick work of his analysis as  always,   but there were limits to what his senses could detect   –   no matter how attuned.   this knowledge is what  humbles  him,   lessens the air of arrogance around his person as he looks at her.   instinct tells him one simple fact  :   he did not know more than her.

julia shumway  ,  is that your blood?

             ‘ some’ve  it, ’   it’s  a  mix,  really.  most  of  it  isn’t  hellboy’s,  though  several  shallow  cuts  seeped  blood,  spreading  in  small  blotches  along  the  left  arm  of  his  trench  coat.  he’s  sure  it’s  a  sight  to  see  -  a  nearly  eight  foot  tall  demon,  red  and  bloodied,  still  standing,  staring  down  at  her  with  a  fiery  and  golden  stare.  maybe  if  he  was  human  he  would  be  a  bit  put  off,  too.   ‘ want  me  t’change  and  come  back? ’     @shumways​.
