When Ren snaps out of the darkness that engulfed him after he literally disolved into nothing, a very familiar stone wall greets him. A stone wall he’s seen for the better part of the past year, a stone wall he’s seen in both reality and in his dreams.
His suspicions are confirmed when familiar piano chords pierce through the drumming of his ears, followed by the soprano line. It’s a forlorn delivery, just as it always is.
“Welcome, Trickster.”
Ren’s brain snaps to attention. He knows that voice. That smooth alto follows him everywhere, to the point he daydreams about it.
Ren, surprisingly not dead, wakes up in the Velvet Room, but there seems to be a rare visitor.
