Hey so this is weird... I'm Shusu, and you bookmarked one of ye olde SGA fics of mine, which is AMAZING, thank you. Except your tags on Evangela look like they're for the mpreg. Anyway um. hi! And thanks for continuing the ancient fandom traditions of feedback and indexing.
Darling! Do you know what you did to me? I had to go find that story, and then read it again, and whambamthankyouma’am, there goes an hour. Thank you, though, seriously. Reading So Far F*cked Up, It Came Out Right for the second time was just as entertaining as the first. (And you’re absolutely right, I’d bookmarked the wrong story, which is some weird shit, but I’m really happy you contacted me to make it right.)
Also, ahaha, I’m not the only author who reads their bookmarks! I’m glad you and others do, too, since I never leave comments and always assume an author will read my bookmark instead. Bookmarks are a service for yourself AND the community, and although I’m often lazy and just click bookmark, I do intend to put a comment and some tags. Because that’s how I find the stories I read, ya know, and I’m glad others went through the trouble.
I’ve fallen into the Stargate Atlantis sinkhole, lately. Okay, fine, we can call it obsession. It’s so fun to find a new fandom, and in this case, because it’s kind of old, most of the works are complete. Hooray for me :) (Reading something written in ‘08 seems like ancient history!)
For my followers: if you don’t know about the Atlantis fandom, you should check out the McShep ship, it’s always fun, and you know, another galaxy and aliens and… it’s very fun. The story we’re talking about here is

She never saw it coming.
My bookmark comments (once appended to the proper work):
Interesting, with always-a-girl John, who somehow, using ancient tech to peg Rodney, gets him pregnant. I love the author’s style, and love her characterization of Joni, and also the frank and casual and expectation-free way both of them approach sex, their relationship and impending parenthood.
Auspicious antique patterns for this outfit, pairing a bold yabane (arrow fletching) kimono, with a lusciously embroidered black-based obi depicting shishi (lion) among botan (peony).
Regal patterns for this outfit, pairing serene purple matsu (pine) kimono, with a majestic taka (hawk) and pine black-based embroidered obi
@todayintokyo!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH for this breathtaking crow themed antique kimono outfit!!!!!
The houmongi, with bokashi (gradation) in mysterious blue to grey tones, has malicious crows flying around, some embroidered others woven in urushi (lacquered threads). I like how the upper back one looks like it’s gonna catch the mon/crest in its beak.
The obi is super unusual as all black items are usually mourning gear in kimono fashion, which means meek and subdued with only rinzu (woven pattern like this or this for ex).
Here, what I believe is shusu (satin silk) is fully embroidered in black with autumn plants (kikyo/chinese bellflowers + susuki/pampa grass) and a crow perched upon a tree. Black based shusu obi like this one were once pretty trendy, I’d love to see such a fashion make a come back :D
Super pleasing colors for this yabane (arrow fletching) inspired kimono, paired with a cute Japanese Spitz black based obi (reproduction of an antique design)
