Sometimes I wonder if the briarwoods had known/visited the De Rolos before sylas got vamp’d. Wasn’t it said that they were friends beforehand, or am I tripping?

I am a huge Ripley fan, although I have not watched the show in full and I’ve not listened to the podcast, as I prefer reading the information and watching clips. I have a very specific AU version of Ripley in my head (a few, actually lol) but they are based off of her character traits and defining features in the podcast. Ive always wondered how she would interact with children, as I see her as having just a generally different brain structure (I think she’s autistic bc I’m autistic and I said so xD), but she doesn’t strike me as a particularly unking or unpleasant individual, simply self serving and doing what needs to be done to achieve her goals and do what she wants/needs to do.
I will be very interested to see what her relationship with Baby Briarwood is like! I frequently portray her as a reluctant adoptive aunt to Cassandra (partially bc I think the briarwoods like to “play house”, per se, and partially because I think cass is subconsciously like “she reminds me of my brother and I miss him”).
