i just thought of an idea of how Shadow Weaver could've treated Bow similarly to how she treated Catra, as she likely wouldn't have seen him as strong // useful // as someone who could negatively affect Adora or Glimmer, in terms of reaching their full potential.
and, especially since this would ( presumably ) happen in s4, would Bow even say anything about it? would it even matter?
could've been a commentary on how dangerous only being the 'happy friend', and not a person, can be for a lot of people.
( oh, no, i'm not still hung up on Bow's arc being introduced and unfinished in s4 and him being a blank canvas almost every other time, why do you ask? )
( also, Catra could've done smth similar, isolating Bow physically and mentally to take him down and have no one notice until later. not a corruption arc, but pretty damn close. i'm feral, don't look at me- )
