apparently some people can't tell that my art is all watercolor on paper, which maybe means i've been doing a decent job cleaning the pictures? i draw traditionally, take a photo with my phone, then use an image editing app to adjust the brightness/white balance/what have you before posting. :)

havent been recording full process videos lately because i feel like there's nothing interesting to watch when i'm just painting little doodles ^^;;; so i only have this v short mini compilation.

idk if anyone cares about all this. i just thought it was interesting to see some people not be able to tell it's not digital 😅

warm fluffy NiF prompts?

Would it be too much of a stretch to ask for some? I want to draw fluffy minis to heal my broken heart but I’ve been too down lately to think up of anything so maybe someone out there is willing to share theirs please? Pokemon AU like this is okay too! I would greatly appreciate it!!

My friend finally finished Nirvana in Fire so of course she just had to give me Sims 4 to build an approximate recreation of the Su Residence and Jing Manor (complete with secret tunnel!!) in a 64x64 lot.

I swear I had every intention to draw as much for Inktober as I can but I went to bed at 4am last night and got back to playing as soon as I woke up because I am an adult who makes responsible choices.

It’s been a delightful journey watching (and recording) my friends yell over Nirvana in Fire but we’re almost at the end and I’m feeling really sad all over again. Partly because I can’t believe I, notorious non-rewatcher, suffered through this show twice and probably more times in the future. Partly because endings always leave me feeling empty in a “What was I doing with my life before all this!!!!” kind of way. =u=);;;

For now I’ll be working on another set of PokemonxNiF stickers as I await updates on some A++ fictions on the tag in AO3. My friend found Shen Zhui and Cai Quan really amusing so she said I should add them to my list. |D;;; Ah, I wonder what kind of Pokemon they would have?

Everyday I struggle with accepting my own art (and writing, when I remember it lol). My feelings about my art are very... negative.... Even the ones I used to enjoy making, I’ve come to resent for reasons that may seem very petty for others. I’m not proud of it. I feel bad for having so much salt. I’m nowhere near where I want to be, I think I’ll never really get there ever, but it’s not like beating myself up about it and getting salty about better artists will help me get anywhere, right?

So I try to pick myself up and keep going. No matter how difficult. No matter how little motivation there is. I’ll never arrive at my destination, but every inch I get farther away from my starting point should probably count as a little victory, at least.
