Runaway from danger? Where was the fun in running away from danger, when you could plow headfirst into it? Chuckling, Gemma shook her head and looked at him while holding her weapon. “Why would you expect me to run away from this? Hell, I would have thought you would be assuming I was the one who started this shit.” Glancing around she loved the chaos that ensued during a fight, though it did dawn on her that’s not what heroes liked. “And yes, I am probably the craziest person you have met… But admit it, life would be pretty boring without me.” A grin swept over her face “also, you going to help me fight, or am I doing this all by myself?”

He makes a note of the papers the woman is holding, though of what sort he is unsure. Rosters, ledgers, bankrolls, itineraries. Quite frankly they could be anything, and she could be anyone. One of their many agents. Or an executive, perhaps.

So he stands some distance away, out of respect for both her privacy and her time. She likely had things to attend to, places to be, and he didn’t wish to intrude upon her work. He turns to face her, his posture neither casual nor rigid, wearing a subtle, yet still noticeable smile.

         “ Field work. ” he states. His words are short and prompt, but they make his intentions clear. Another pause, and he continues.

         “ I have experience. ”

If she asks, he would tell her. But he would not do so quite yet, for unlike most, his credentials were of a much more… clandestine nature.

“Field work.” Katrina tilted her head slightly, waiting for some elaboration. “I have experience.”

That piqued her interest a bit more. She considered it for a moment. He didn’t seem like the type to be here without reason. Not imposing, but not uncertain either. If he was here with a motive, he either had skills or information important enough to warrant a visit to SHIELD.

“There might be something. But if you are going to join they will need more of an explanation than that.” She said, smiling slightly. She turned towards the doors leading further into the building, away from the public and possible prying ears. She looked back when he didn’t follow. “Are you coming?”

She glanced at him as they walked down the hallway. “You know, I have to ask. Why this way? Why not contact SHIELD online or just look for a job application?” She asked with a curious, if not slightly teasing, smile.

Building a garden oasis (okay, paying to have it built, sheesh) was the best idea Dane had ever had. His own little tropical paradise, and he quite happily relaxed in his massive hot tub. He wasn’t actually sure why he’d opted for some so large, but it was excellent. Though, sitting in the bubbling water with Shangqi, he couldn’t help but grin.

           ❝Aw! A dijiang! This is my first one seeing one in the flesh!❞ Pardon her enthusiasm, she has encountered many creatures in her work, and yet she did not have the privilege of meeting them all. This was an auspicious meeting for sure, and she is all smiles at the many-limbed-and-winged furball. Knowing that it’s a creature she hasn’t seen before, Roxanne makes sure to keep her movements subtle and slow. Especially now that she extends out her hand, fingers curled into a loose fist as though she were greeting a dog. 

             ❝I never heard of someone keeping one as a pet, and never thought I’d see ‘em outside of China.❞ She remarked, her eyes scanning over the dijiang before meeting Shang-chi’s eyes with a curious expression, ❝Coming in for a check up?❞
