i’m just trying to imagine the story behind a diplomatic gift that was (presumably knowingly!) super wrong for the recipient’s religion

I was thinking the same thing while I typed it up, there’s a story that’s probably lost to time.  I don’t know enough about the context to really guess.  Super passive aggressive?  It’s beautiful and sacred to someone else, and they’re going to have to look after it forever after?

I admittedly have not watched the original trilogy in a while but I do not remember her having anger issues. I'm really at a loss.

…IDK if this is also how white women deal with not-pale-skinned nbpoc, but if so it explains a lot suddenly, esp about why my experience has been so different from the asians-get-infantilized thing :/

it is specifically from an article, or rather a blog post, a white woman wrote about black people and potato salad and I think she was attempting to be like open and appreciative of our culture but it just comes off as really gross.

I'm not sure if the same dynamic would apply to nbpoc, not being one myself.

Pewter’s a really interesting metal since it has such a low melting point that I should be able to do castings at home as well, but this first time I definitely want  supervision and I’m so glad this has been set up. If you weren’t an ocean away I would totally invite you. :(

oooo the indeed. I’m making pilgrims badges with my medieval name’s first initial to hand out to people as a personal token of my favor. The plan is to decorate a garment with them and if someone really inspires me to cut one of them off and give it to them.

sadly shadowrun stuff specifically won’t give you any better, it’s all ~only metatypes matter no other type of race~ last i checked, which means of course appropriation everywhere. If you link me to a pic of a human who looks like what you want tho i could try turning them into an elf for you while i’m taking a break from other workstuff :) It’s pretty much how i came up w SR character images.
