ah i don't think you've already asked this, or maybe it got eaten in my inbox ;w; no worries either way!
the machine is a modern au talsett fic that also is set with a/b/o dynamics. i gave it that title (which is also a temporary title btw) bc it deals with some themes of unfortunate circumstance. the premise is sett who goes to the city to make a living for his ma and gets involved in an underground fighting ring. because the fic deals with some seriously heavy and smutty themes i'm still not sure i'll ever be posting it publicly, but i do plan on finishing it either way. The current draft is at almost 14k words and it's got a ways left to go.
here's a snippet.
double-halves is the temporary title for my next talsett longfic! i do have the real title for it but i'm just keeping it under wraps. it's going to be a longfic similar to teeth, though extremely sett-centric in a somewhat alternate timeline, and it's actually the fic i'm most excited for in terms of writing quality. :^)
i'm actually not going to post a preview from this one, as im very excited,,, and salivating, but it can be best summarized with this quote:

having birthday trauma is literally so embarrassing but i'd like to think its taloncore (or maybe settcore??? looking into this...) in order to feel better sdljkfjkl. i try and hype myself up but instead i just get really afraid and then it just feels like im trying to get attention. beating back the horrors fr. ANYWAY as an update, i was supposed to have a couple fics to post today but i'm just running behind, although i DID finish my last comm (yay!!!) i'll try and post them soon though, even if its only here.
since i've finished my last comm i'm back on talsett / personal fic stuff. so stay-away update soon sorry about that.
on a more personal talonposting-y note my goal is to read more books this year and it's been really fun reading things out of my comfort zone for 'talon' reasons. like stuff i can read through a talon lens. (to be clear, im also just reading the book but its fun to also think about it in relation to talon.)
