okay but more seriously my thoughts on what talon actually likes to eat depends on the setting. like i think in canon runeterra he's basically a living garbage disposal, which i've definitely talked about before but here i go again. he just ate whatever he had to, even if he hated it, anything that could be reasonably called food, and unless he's completely safe he eats it super fast because food insecurity. basically inhales it. if he felt more secure he would try and save some for later, and eat as slow as possible. i also think his meager options probably leads to a low spice tolerance, not just spicy food but like, lots of different flavors at once. i think his favorite foods end up being portable and simple, so like bread (ideally warm), hardtack, cheese, whatever meat, and picked scabs. also i don't think he gets many sweets, so they're very special to him. and personally I think he'd end up preferring more bitter stuff like dark chocolate and black licorice. THOUGH, he'd also like fruit a whole lot. like post-marcus adoption i think he would love finding wild berries on the road, and he'd also like honey but detest how sticky it is.

in my fic Teeth i had his favorite food being tacos, since they're noxian, which i also think he'd really like for their portability even if he doesn't like everything on it. the big feature of canon runeterra talon is that i think he just can't afford to be picky, but if he could, he would, he just doesn't realize that's really an option, because no WAY marcus would let him (or any other du couteau child) be picky. talon does what he's told, so he eats what he's told, and if he's queasy later then he will suffer the consequences, because he's very good at it.

in MODERN contexts however I do think talon has room to be a pickier eater (and also his own person lol). (unless of course, marcus rears his ugly head and is particularly awful but yk) i think he could eat the same thing over and over and over again and be completely fine with it, because it's makes eating into a nice stable routine. i do think he'd absolutely fuck with a grilled cheese in every lifetime, and he can more freely pick things off if he doesn't like them. and i don't think modern au talon is much interested in trying new things compared to tried and true safe foods. modern au talon diversifies only into bad habits like chewing ice or fingernails or smoking cigarettes.

that's just my own personal opinion though! except not the part about him fucking with grilled cheeses, that's actually cold hard fact.

thank god no one fucks with talon on this side of the planet because that means when his riftbound card eventually comes out he'll be cheap as hell.
