Okay, but how did Kim Seyoon end up becoming one of his sect's most promising young cultivators? Heaven must know how questionable his skills actually were.

Well, he shall not waste an opportunity to harvest precious metals! Besides, it wasn't like he was on this expedition alone. Seyoon was among friends...and other random freeloaders who felt like tagging along.

"It sure is hot, huh?" He wasn't with the most chatty group of people, see, and often had to prompt for conversations. "Guess they don't call this the volcano cave for nothing." Seyoon poked Haemin on the arm and Yuxi on the waist, then Seunghyun on the cheek and Rowon on the back. Come on, someone must speak to him, he was getting bored!

Rumble rumble.

It was as if the universe heard his inner desire for excitement and decided to bless him in abundance. The ground and walls began shaking and shiny pieces of ore revealed themselves, making Seyoon's eyes gleam. He had no chance to celebrate, however, as a creature he'd only seen in books appeared among the dust and rubbles. "Is that...uhhhh...."

BETWEEN YOU, BETWEEN ME, BETWEEN US THREE. jino might be having a little too much fun at family con, but that's not stopping him from pulling @hyunsoolgc and @shxlgc into the fray of things ( especially when its in front of dozens of adoring fans ) —  lgc family concert 2024, day 2 : interview panel.

so much can change in a year.

this is extremely evident in the way jino handles family con this year — no longer will he have to be slave to neither dance routines and missteps nor strained vocals and cracked notes. no — this year he’s allowed the honor of settling in among his peers as a debuted actor for a interview panel.

and while dancing in front of a thousand screaming fans had been fun ( and nerve-wracking and absolutely, unpositively worrying ), this was definitely more his speed.

it was only further emphasized once he zeroes in on the backs of both hyunsoo and seunghyun — nearly colliding with the two as he loops his arms along their broad shoulders, grinning from ear to ear.

  “well, well, well — if it isn’t my two favorite people in the whooooooole world.” and while the whole world may be an exaggeration, jino liked to think it was quite close.

( a millimeters’ breath kind of close )

his grin could only grow at the sight of them as he steers them away from whatever the two had been doing ( or perhaps fleeing? ) — in favor of the small opening allowed for them to spy the stage they were to grace their presence with. 

“i’m glad we got paired up, i feel like i haven’t see you guys in forever.”

an exaggeration but for jino a day was far too long, especially when it came to his favorite people. he had already had his fill of day one of family con, and now despite working, he was already thinking of ways to detour from the interview and go see the concert to see some other friends. 

glancing between the pair, jino pauses, brows furrowed. “do you guys know each other?”

Alright, maybe… perhaps… Soo Kiyong was a tad too excited for his very first project as an official, website listed ( !! ) LGC Agency model. Ever since the meeting ended, he has not been able to stop grinning from ear to ear, scribbling things down in the notebook he carried with him everywhere when the thoughts come to him, daydreaming here and there. He had his idea perfectly mapped out by the time a week in rolled around. He would go for the watch, map out a plot sketch of the day in the life of an athlete or someone with an especially active lifestyle. There was no better way to incorporate his own strengths than with this idea.

Another point of excitement happened to be contained within the man he dragged along with him to the gym — a location the other model surely would never step foot in otherwise if not for Kiyong's insistence. ( And, of course, he asked for permission from the staff to film ahead of time. ) Seunghyun always had a discerning eye for what shots and poses would be the most appealing to the eye. He held the man's opinion in quite the high regard. One might even refer to it as a starry eyed admiration. In fact, he looks upon him with that very same expression when he moves in front of him — seemingly to line up what could be the next shot for some b-roll.

"What do you think of my idea?" he asks, settling his forearms on the handles of the elliptical, his chin resting on them next. His large eyes glance up at him with a playful glint within them, as they usually do. He purses his lips to fight back a smile. He should look cool and focused, shouldn't he? "Did you think of anything yet? I saw you thinking really, really hard the other day. That must mean that you've got something in mind! Anyway… whatever you come up with, I think it'll be really brilliant. Oh… Do you need help though!? Since you're helping me… I mean, I planned to help you, anyways, but—"

Hyunsoo was never one for parties. Oh, how many times must he repeat such nonsense in his head before it manifests into something meaningful? He tires of thinking about it, frankly — the fancy dinners and get-togethers orchestrated by his mother. The opulence, the tiny intricately crafted sweets and tea sandwiches with unsatisfactory fillings. These events remind him far too much of those times; with the exception of being able to sneak into the kitchen and plead for liquid courage from the overworked chefs. ( Much was possible under his mother's nose when it was held so high. )

But there's another familiarity here that catches his eye. It was always rather difficult to overlook his presence, anyway, when the man was insistent on standing out from the crowd. Even with the decor and other people wearing such stark colors, Hyunsoo would be able to pick him out. He recognizes the way he stands at the ice bar idly sipping juice.

Have you been well? He wants to ask so badly. Seunghyun's voice echoes from the past, taking over his own. You ask too many stupid questions, Hyunsoo.

"Han Seunghyun," he only calls for him when he is a few feet away, situating himself in the empty space beside him. "You look nice." He glances up ( as he always did ) to examine the expression he may be wearing. There would be no indication if he needed to tread carefully — that is a constant with Seunghyun.

"Does the decor not remind you of a horrendous combination of our mother's tastes? I thought as much the moment I walked in." It almost felt as if the planners were mocking them. Almost. Though he turns his attention toward an carefully crafted ice sculpture of a bird standing not too far from them and thinks otherwise. It reminds him so terribly of Seunghyun's ranting and raving from not even a month ago.

jinyoung had never seen himself as a troublemaker but definitely as someone who got away with way too much shit. so when he'd been paired with seunghyun by the coach in a rather cheeky manner, jinyoung merely took a look at the guy and wondered why he'd been set up to show up.

"well... looks like we'll have to work out a bomb scenario for the rest of the folks, hm?" eye smile in place, he still wasn't too worried. jinyoung was a professional improvisor at this point and truly felt no pressure or anxiety to fail this task.

"looking forward to work with you. I'm Kim Jinyoung," he remembered to introduce himself, recalling his manners.
