‘ i understand father. ‘ scorpius nodded in agreement. he understood that he had quite the reputation from his grandfather and father already, and he was to honour it as much as possible - within the limits. astoria had asked him from the start to be tolerant of the different blood status’ and families, meanwhile his grandfather lucius practically begged him to stay away from the potters and weasleys - and now his father was reinforcing the idea that he had to keep up to the reputation, and he was somewhat confused on which end to act upon.

Draco could be strict. And he’d admit he was often harsher than he intended upon his son. But only because he wanted the BEST for Scorpius. While part of him was grateful that his only child had been sorted into Slytherin, a part of him was afraid that perhaps Scorpius would make the same mistakes Draco would. He’d get into the wrong crowd, find himself meddling in dark affairs...
He kept a close eye on his son, some days fearful of how much of himself he saw in Scorpius.
