“Come kiss me angel” Shawn and Sabrina
The night was nice. Quiet. It was only them and no texts or calls interrupted the calmness. Honestly, it was such a welcome change and it almost felt as if they didn’t have the awkward reminder of the usual tension which hung in the air between her and her roommate. Her roommate whom she continued to pine for and wished they’d find a way to rekindle what they once had.
There’d been stray moments shared between them. Kisses and cuddles, things which made her heart soar but they hadn’t actually discussed what any of it meant. Which caused Sabrina to feel in limbo when it came to her jealousy and need for him to be hers once again.
And, on this fire escape, it felt just like that. That she and Shawn were their old selves. That there was no break up or shifting their living arrangement so he slept in the spare guest room. That it was she and him and Oscar splayed out on the floor behind them snoring loudly.
Sabrina’s head rested on Shawn’s shoulder and as he spoke she slowly raised her head and eyed him, surprised. There was hesitation, but only because he called her a name she’d not heard in such a long, long time.
Her eyes looked over his face, mostly to see if this was something he wanted. That he wanted this kiss. This moment. This connection.
As her mind tried to talk her out of falling in. Giving into that bliss, she went for it. She leaned in and pressed her lips to his and felt that fall. Sabrina was so far over her head when it came to Shawn but all of that could be thought about later.
For right now she only wanted this reminder of their old lives and how maybe, just maybe, they can have it again.
