9. Who are her closest friends? Ooooooh, this is fun! I think she and Rebecca are good friends and maybe business collaborators, and I genuinely think Lupin and Dell are friends, of a sort. Their relationship is under the “complicated” label, what with Dell’s back-and-forthing with the law/Zenigata. But, Dell trusts Lupin with her life, even if they aren’t on the same side currently; and I think Lupin probably sees her in a way that’s adjacent to how he sees Zenigata. I don’t think Yata trusts her completely but they do team up to make sure Pops isn’t getting himself killed lmao

14. What hobbies does she have? fucken uhhhhhhhhhh. macrame? I’m gonna be real with u chief, this bitch doesn’t get out much between running a business and the Lupgang’s shenanigans 💀 She also picked up this nasty habit from Lupin that makes her want to go on adventures and find rare artifacts.

9. Who are their closest friends? With Maki being her roommate, I think they become fast friends (they work out with Obi too occasionally and bond over that). I could see them getting along with Vulcan, as they tend to gravitate towards creative types. Judd really just wants to be everyone’s friend tbh

14. What hobbies do they have? JUDD PLAYS THE BANJO because I really want to but i’m bad at learning!!! They’re super fascinated by outer space and old art, too; the latter being a side effect of dating someone who used to fabricate old documents for shady people.

maybe ill love myself when there are characters written like me that arent for a gimmick or a sick joke or a shitty ending or are just THERE not because they serve a specific purpose but because they're JUST THERE. theyre just...trans. becsuse they can be. because thats how life. surgical scars or binders or nothing at all, and non passing trans people with more leg hair than they ""should"" have or less leg hair than they ""should"" have or color coded clothes that fit the OTHER gender role because they're not out yet and they're trans and want to start slow and want to be SEEN but can't SAY it yet. i just want to be normal.

10. How do other characters feel about her relationships? LOL Jigen probably lowkey hates her for the same reasons he doesn’t like Fujiko; he’s gay Dell is a shady chick who tricks Lupin a lot and can’t pick a side. He’s also resentful of rich people culture, which Dell comes from. But like anything, nothing is black and white and he’ll stick by Lupin’s side even if he thinks he’s making a mistake. Goemon probably doesn’t have many opinions about them until it interferes with a score, and Fujiko appreciates the distraction some days and is bitter about it on others. As far as Dell’s relationship with Zenigata, I think Lupin was wary about it in the beginning. Like, you can’t fuck with Pops, that’s MY job! But also genuinely in the interest of Zenigata not getting hurt.

12. How would the fandom view her? I honestly don’t think about it that much 🤔 I personally think she’s pathetic shdjsnhsusb and I am okay with her filling that character niche lmao

15. What is her role in the plot of the story? That is a FABULOUS question, because I think she’s kinda fluid; a real lawful neutral temperament. I see Dell occupying a space similar to Fujiko, where she serves her own interests a lot of the time, but ultimately chooses what’s morally right, given the circumstances. I also like the idea that Dell gets swept up in Lupin nonsense against her will a lot lmao

12. How would the fandom view them? I think Judd would be golden-retriever-boyfriended to smithereens by fandom with a sexy little dose of woobification and a side of there’s not a single thought behind those eyes. The most blorbo-able of my self inserts.

15. What is their role in the plot of the story? Judd actually gets assigned by Obi to spy on Viktor, and as a consequence ends up helping him and Joker a bunch. She’s mostly there for comedic relief and boob jokes.

10. How do the other characters feel about their relationship? To anyone outside of the 8th, it doesn’t really make sense until you spend 5 minutes with the both of them and realize that they’re literally sooo annoying together (affectionate). No one at the 8th is surprised when Judd grabs Viktor’s face for a smooch though because Judd’s poker face is nonexistent when it comes to feelings and they have been making googoo eyes at him for literal months. It’s a very jock x nerd type of ship; also mad scientist x henchman.

Dell is the one that’s most like me personality-wise and physically, except she doesn’t have tattoos and also is rich as shit

2. When does she arrive in canon? Seeing as she’s a Lupin the Third s/i, there isn’t really a specific point of the plot she shows up in, because the Lupin the Third franchise isn’t contiguous among the 5 parts or the movies. So she’s in all of the parts, less so in the later ones because i’m obsessed with the older parts shjxsgusdj.

3. How do the other characters feel about her? LMAO probably suspicious -> ambivalent -> distrustful on behalf of the Lupin gang, on account of her playing both sides frequently. Zenigata trusts her more but that’s because she leans more towards the side of the law as time progresses. (it’s so hard not to have her story be carried on among the parts, i can’t help it 😩) I DO want her and Rebecca to be besties tho. maybe kiss a little idk

Judd is RIPPED as FUCK and also outgoing and a bit chaotic

2. When do they arrive in canon? Just before it, actually! They don’t join the 8th until a little before Shinra and Arthur do, despite being much older. Judd is in a spiral after their partner dies, they discover their pyrokinesis and are on the run from their crimes when they bump into Obi and Hinawa by chance out in public. They save Judd and encourage them to join the fire force to better control their power and to put it to use. In repayment for getting them through training, Obi says they can join the 8th company. And the rest is history!

3. How do the other characters feel about them? I think Judd gets along with everyone at the 8th pretty well; they’re pretty friendly. I think they spend more time around Iris, Maki and Tamaki in general, with Maki being their roommate and feeling like a protective older sibling to the other two. Judd respects Obi and Hinawa a lot, even having a teeny little crush on Obi before meeting Viktor. Judd works with Joker and Viktor a lot and they all begrudgingly respect each other’s skills lol.
