Your SI is pretty interesting! I enjoy the fact that you leaned into YGO canon pretty much throwing historical accuracy out the window (don't worry, you're not alone 😂).
As far as the whole Germanic items/group finding themselves in AE, historically speaking, AE was a melting pot of various cultures. It's not really that far of a stretch. As much as I hate to make this comparison, it was literally the USA of the ancient civilized world for it's period in that regard.
Even my own OC has a mixed background where her 'canon' is that she's the daughter of Anubis and a woman who originated from Ireland. (There's more to her mother than that, but at risk of my own longfic spoiler I won't divulge further lol)
