9: how would you survive an apocalypse or at least attempt to?

i do love these kind of questions because i know im simply not built for the zombie apocalypse. i've watched too many shows where noise = death and my dogs are the loudest mfers in the world. they would alert the zombies and it would be over for me.

26: share one outlook you have on life?

my mom used to say "shy bairns get nowt" and i never really understood that for a long time. i thought working hard or just being subtle in my intentions would get me noticed, but that really isn't the case. you HAVE to speak up when you want to be heard, or you won't get what you want. it's helped me so much these past few years and I 100% rec it. it's not an easy lesson to stick by and i have had plenty of times where ive not said what I feel, but practice sure does make perfect

Hi, I hope you haven't answered this yet: What's your personal headcanon for Velcinta's first meeting? Was it on Aldhani, or did they meet (potentially even date) before? What were their first impressions of each other?

My bad for answering this late -- life got busy and I have the attention span of a very small fish. BUT I have time from my layover, so.

I reckon Vel and Cinta's first meeting was before Aldhani. I think Cinta was around a while before Vel got started -- she's given an assassination mission in S1, not something you just give to anyone. Vel came later, and I HC that they met while on an assignment. (Maybe you'll see what assignment when I finish this fic whoops I mean who said that 👀).

I 100% believe Cinta thought Vel wouldn't last a week. This is what makes her falling in love with her so much more delicious to me. Cinta was probably like "see you never 👍" and then Vel kept on coming back and she's like "???? How??? Why??? Why do I care??"

I've been wondering: what was it that first drew you to like Cinta and Vel individually and as a couple? Also, do you have any favourite headcanons or upcoming story ideas that you would like to share?

this is such a good question! i think there's not just one answer for me for either of them. BUT what spoke to me first was of course Vel feeling like an outcast among her own people and desperately searching for a community. i grew up outside of a big city and as a queer woman I've always felt out of place among my peers. always displaced, but wanting to belong somewhere. for Vel that ends up being the Rebellion and her relationship with Cinta, which speaks to me (and many queer women I'd wager).

as for Cinta, love of my life... i could absolutely relate to having had such a grave injustice done to you and yours that it absolutely changes your life. of course it wasn't as bad as literal genocide, but i could relate to her pain and the utter unfairness of your life being uprooted and having no choice but to go down a certain path because every other option has been swept away. you often feel lonely but become so single minded it doesn't matter as much. but that's why Cinta's relationship with Vel is so significant, because it's a reminder that she isn't alone actually, and it's not wrong to want someone or something.

as for their relationship: i think that also is a multi answer for me but ultimately i enjoy people who may never had met, who have so little in common, coming together due to circumstances beyond them. would they have met otherwise? it's hard to say: Vel's an heiress and we know so little about Cinta it's difficult to know. so either way, Velcinta was always going to appeal to me. but then you look at how complex they are (Cinta putting the cause before their relationship, Vel's struggle to do otherwise) and i just love then so much. they are so hurt by their circumstances and yet can't help but be drawn to one another. i just find it so romantic.

i have soooo many hcs and ideas, but I've already yapped enough so I'll just list a few things I'm writing right now:

1. Velcinta spin-off of MonKleya's 'Professional Curiosity' where gossip once more strikes Yavin base

2. Jyn and Vel meet during Rogue One and talk about Cinta (it is sad 😔)

3. Velcinta fix it fic where Cinta says no and comes back from the dead (there may be weird timey-wimey nonsense happening)

4. Velcinta yurt fic where Cinta sees Vel in her hoodie and blue screens

i have so many though. it's taking me forever to pick which one i want to finish first!

thanks for asking! tbh, not great. I don't feel fulfilled career-wise; the pandemic took a huge blow into the progress I'd made into my preferred field and I haven't been able to find another way in; some friendships that were important to me fizzled out and I'm still mourning them; I feel like I'm missing out on life due to not having enough money or people to go do things with; half the people in Argentina elected a libertarian maniac that is destroying my country both materially and culturally in ways that frankly terrify me; I'm stressed out about the possibility of not being able to afford life on my own by the end of the year if they continue to fuck up this badly... it's A Lot 😞

10. what’s something you’re excited for?

given all the above, I don't have many things lined up that I'm excited for, ha. but there's always books to read! fic to write! friends to see! I might buy headphones soon!
