Guess who's gonna post art for once in forever again (aka as usually I forget to post anything I draw but finally remembered after finishing something)

Found a super old WIP sketch when I was nostolgic about Shadow people au and decided to tear it apart and finish it up! (Ended up with 3 sketch layers to fix everything that wasn't looking right)

Sibbh's ability in dsmp spau is called Earthshaker for good reason.

Also have the line art and some of the sketch layers just as a bit of progress work on how it changed from the original wip

Having SPAU thoughts (for context spau is a 2 year old au that started out as a hermitcraft au and there is also a dsmp spau created by a few buddies who were old spau people) I have 2 characters I write and develope for dsmp spau (Sibbh and Carbyne also know as Carrefour and Butane.) Which are the shadows of Badboyhalo and Skeppy.

It's also mixed with my personal designs/concepts for both bbh and skeppy. My bbh is an eldritch guardian from thuamcraft while my skeppy is a diamond block mimic creature. Fun times.

I'm very hype for people who enjoy Honk (a great shadow created by @autisticlalna ) because tales is starting back up in the near future and that's like. Very very exciting for many reasons. But I'm also excited just because Honk is one of the only shadows who actually has like. Written and conceptual interactions with Sibbh and Carbyne so whenever I have ideas my brain goes "but what if- Honk"

I should probably come up with the other eggpire shadows tbh and work out more interactions between different shadows.

Oh and also since I'm busy usually that means I have more time where I just lay down and write or draw while I rest. So be prepared for art and writing.

(on the other end of spau- I'm still working on the Con and Taxes fic. Im not giving up on it I'm just waiting for inspo to strike)

Finished the drawing if Sibbh (Bbh's shadow) and Carbyne (Skeppy's shadow) from the dsmp Shadow people au.

With Sibbh instead of being pure monotone I went with some more purple hues to hint at the taint corruption and just sorta went ham with some lighting since the yellow areas on shadow tend to glow

With Carbyne I really could pick in how I wanted to color him so I settled on some dark blue tones and making him sort of iridescent where his body is, as well as hiding some crytalised taint under the layers (the purple bits) to hint at his mild taint corruption.

The back light is also just a call back to taint corruption as well asvthe fact they are affiliated with the egg in their own ways.

I'll probably be posting more info on these 2 bastard at some point but if you wanna know more rn there's a post on my blog with the WIP of this art that has some more details.

I've been working on 2 shadows for the dsmp shadow people au!

This is Sibbh (BabBoyBalo's shadow) and Carbyne (Skeppys shadow)

They are both bastards. My abhorreds.

Sibbh is outwardly very friendly and mimics how bbh speaks. But when left alone with anyone he gets pretty sketchy, tends to manipulate people or at least becomes a lot more serious and foreboding when alone with somone he has an intrest in. He is based on my head canons for Bbh being an eldritch gaurdian from thaumcraft (you can search my blog for those) so the bbh ins spau is a boss eldritch gaurdian who decides to become a player instead.

Sibbh is very fascinated by taint and is taint corrupted (it's a thaumcraft thing)

Carbyne is also a bastard. He is more straightforward and organised and less sketchy then Sibbh but he does have a habit if manipulating situations to his favour and is only loyal to Sibbh and even that is tentative at best. He would sell everyone to Satan for 1 corn chip.

Carbyne is based on the fact my Skeppy design is a mimic, the face on the front is fake and there to look friendly in skeppys case while his real face is much wider. Carbyne has 2 functional faces. The fave on the front can emote separately while the entire face can open up like a maw.

Sibbh and Carbyne were summoned together because bbh and skeppy wanted their shadows to be friends. Instead they became more like frenemies. The only reason Sibbh dosent kill/wreak Carbynes shit is because Carbyne knows all his plans and only stays silent about them in exchange for Sibbh's support. While Carbyne dosent tattle on Sibbh because Sibbh is the only shadow keeping him safe from the crimson egg corruption and one of the stronger shadows out of all in the server.

So @autisticlalna made post about how a vc evolved into us making a shitpost au where Honk, Sibbh, and Carbyne have to co-exist as roommates. And I just went shit post feral since I always do so here's a sketch dump about it

Just so you all know: I've finished a dsmp spau fic and I'll probably throw it on ao3 when I update/rehash the original introduction fic of the characters. But it'll be fun

Some more art of Sibbh and Carbyne from the dsmp Shadow people au! Just some silly doodles of the duo in their getting along shirt and one Sibbh going 2d (they end up flat against a surface and look more like a sillouet this makes their hitbox size change so they can for through gaps and are way way harder to hit) Sibbh is like a little fruit gusher where all the fun horror is on the inside!
