“Time and chance. The twin offspring of destiny. That wondrous branching of our fates.”
— Carol Shields, The Stone Diaries
Had the absolute pleasure to work with @bigmeandragonlady once again to bring this idea to life of my Operator and Drifter with their main frames, Uriel and Umbra. Absolutely phenomenal job in getting the girls post The Old Peace as they prepare themselves for what comes next in the fight for the universe. I have been giddy about this piece and seeing it come together I just am! !!!!! No words! The work on the warframes alone is just immaculate! If you ever have the chance to work with her please do! Thank you so much once again for your talent and patience in working with me to bring this to life.
Individual shots below to just take them in

Thank you my friend! Its been fun having my girl in a new universe and thinking on how these things play out.
Does your OC have any difficulty distinguishing between love and lust?
XIV: No she doesn't. Does she maybe get a bit to ahead of herself and thinks lust leads to love? Yeah. But she knows there's a difference between lust and love. She was able to experience love before running away from home so she knows what its supposed to feel like to a degree and why at times when she's a bit low on funds she would add it in as a bonus for her inn room payment. This isn't also to touch on Haurchefaunt who rode the line between the two feelings but she could easily divorce any feelings of love from what they did so she didn't feel guilty for her relationship with him.
WF: She does a bit yes. She grew up in a fake reality where she was living a loop of her own death for so so long and then proceeded to be in some battle or another after escaping such a loop, so she had no chance to experience either feeling fully. Its not until she's with the Hex that she starts to learn that there's a difference and the complexities of relationships with people. There was a time where she thought she was "in love" with Arthur but once she experienced sex for the first time in its fullest she started to realize something was off about it all and asked him if he loved her after a few more hook ups which was a No from him and him having to take a moment to explain things and where they stood, which made it make sense and a bit of a relief because there was the notion in her mind still about spending the rest of your life with that first love, like you only love one person in your life kind of deal. She did eventually figure out what love can feel like and come to understand the complexity of you can love someone and still not be right for one another in a romantic capacity. Like overall she very much got a wide variety of answers and perspectives on love and lust and relationships from the 1999 crew.
What does your OC look for in a romantic (or perhaps purely sexual) partner? Is this always healthy?
In a general sense she likes blondes and red heads for a partner, there's no definite answer on if that's always healthy or not since there's a variety of personalities involved haha. Aside from that (its not a requirement just a funny trend I see): She does also, however, likes someone that challenges her in some way, don't make it easy for her. Again Jury's still a little out on how healthy that is since at least two have tried to kill her in combat settings, one of which is responsible for multiple destructions of worlds. And then you get cases where one man doesn't talk to her until she's deemed semi has potential to be trusted, another that finds her too inexperienced to be put in situations she totally has proved herself in already, and a woman that hides behind a mask of nothing bothers me I'm a strong swordswoman. The challenges her is a big thing with each person because she doesn't fully know herself and has a journey of such things which can't be complete unless she's challenged to look at herself and her behaviors.
Does your OC consider themselves to be attractive? Do they put much effort into achieving this?
XIV: Yes and there is quite a bit of effort put into it also. It was how she was raised. Looks are vastly important in higher society and shows who you are to the world because how else is anyone supposed to see you? It was also something her mother cultivated knowing she was going to have to marry her daughter to as high ranking as possible to ensure safety and freedom for Sib. While her routine over the years dwindled she still has plenty of them and the vanity to reopen wounds to have a healer fix it so she's not left with a garish scar. She was strict with her hair maintenance, she wakes an hour or more before everyone to apply products and make up, her clothing is fashion over function a lot of the times, this is a woman that chose to wear a dress in northern canada in the middle of winter because there were no cute coats for her to wear. Like appearance means a lot to her and she will maintain the best one to the best of her ability while on the road. However, her own standards have changed over the course of her adventures and she allows for there to be less perfection in her appearance, she finds herself more attractive with the small definitions of muscle and subtle scars that litter her body now. Like just things that show she's a person with a story rather than the perfect doll her mother wanted her to be.
WF: She doesn't find herself not attractive, but she can't say for certain that she is either, just that people are attracted to her. She's very good at keeping that confidence for everything else though. As for effort its less than it will be for her younger self (Operator Sib) in the future. Having access to more things she does choose to have colorful clothing items that have little form to them or make her feel pretty, chooses to put on some make up, and do her hair nicer than just the practical braid it was for a long time. So all in all appearance matters but not to the extent it would to the Operator who takes some more care in her appearance and in others, as it was her that created Drifter Sib's arm using pieces that would make the most sense aesthetically and feel just cute out of the warframe pieces that were available. But Operator Sib also grew up for a little bit longer in the Orokin Empire that was known for its vanity and making so many things gold.
And just for some fun point of reference you can see her current looks at least in the face. Left to right:
Operator Sib (13/14ish physically), ffxiv version with her current msq look, and Drifter Sib (30ish physically) [listen its a whole thing in wf just go with it]
