Abstract colors.

  Matilda had called her brother and invited him over for tea and snacks. She wanted to show him her latest painting. The one, or one of, the ones she had painted while she was blind. Some of the colors got mixed up but honestly she was pretty proud that she was able to paint them when she couldn’t see. She just hoped he liked it. She really wanted him to have it. Sometimes with her art she just knew it didn’t belong with her. Sometimes her paintings would tell her who they belonged with and this one. This one needed to be with Damien. She didn’t know why but something inside her felt like he needed this painting more then she did. She finished setting out the sandwiches, cookies and cheese plate before checking her watch.He should be here soon.

Matilda sat outside Kai and Clary’s house waiting for one of them to come home. At least she hoped it was their house. It smelt like them and the person she showed the address to had lead her there. it took some digging to find the exact address but she had connections. She sighed leaning her head against the door. She had knocked but no one answered so instead here she waited.

  It wasn’t hard to find where Kai was hiding. He was still using the credit card Matilda had given him after all. His purchases were right there where she could see them. She didn’t like having to hunt her brother down but after getting the ring cursed, she needed to speak with him sooner rather then later. Normally she would let him come to her as they always made up quickly but she just didn’t have time for that. She had to save him. What he was doing would end up hurting him more in the end. She couldn’t handle it if something happened to him. 

 She managed to get into his room no problem. She just compelled a staff member to get the room number and key and she was in. Of course Kai wasn’t there. Though by the messy look of things he had been. She didn’t know when he would be back but she could wait. It wasn’t like she had anything more pressing right now. This was what was important. So she sat down on the chair provided and she waited. Absently twirling the ring in her fingers as she looked it over. So she just sat there in the dark waiting for her brother to return.
