another fucking day spent sitting in a house on my ass watching tv.
PLANT PARENTHOOD - SICK SUMMER VOL. II
"25 minutes of sludge pop bliss. these songs were written in a cold house with mice. guitar feedback catharsis and catchy yowling. check out the tunes at www.plantparenthood.bandcamp.com." -staring at the ceiling
I sat inside today and did absolutely nothing but talk to my boyfriend, watch tv and drink a gallon of Arnold Palmer by myself..
Sick Summer Tour last night.
Holy shit. WOW. Wow is really the only word I have that truly describes it.
The crowd was super rough. Well, rougher than usual. But the bands were absolutely incredible. Abel tasman, our locals played an amazing show, up to the standards of the other more 'international bands'. Northlane was amazing. They are so down to earth, and friendly. Adrian, the lovely and attractive singer walked around at the end, and we ended up talking to him for a good twenty minutes. I caught his cardigan and have absolutely no use for it. But it was cute, and we endured an awkward handshake/hug. Hand of Mercy were great. Their sound is magnificent and they gave the whole place a great atmosphere. Also, had a great discussion with the cutiepie drummer afterwards about how he sticks his tongue out the whole time he's playing. Last, but definitely not least, Parkway Drive. Wow. I've seen parkway three times now, and this one would have had to have been the best. I believe smaller gigs are better, and this one proved it. We were all chatty, they were so friendly and omg. Just great. Great night, horrible recovery, completely worth it.
