We at SICKY Eyewear are beyond excited to share a very special shoot with our readers, one that we did with a couple of the most multi-talented teens the entertainment industry has seen: Larsen Thompson and Lexee Smith. At just 14 years old these girls have been dominating the social media scene as well as the dance world, with their Instagram and Twitter followers totaling over 437,000 and performing this past month with Janet Jackson on her world tour. Both have been friends for years through dance and countless jobs that they've booked together, and the world has yet to truly see what these girls are made of. We wanted our readers to get to know more about this dynamic duo, and here's what they want you to know: When did you discover your passion for dance and performing? LARSEN - I started dancing at the age of three and have enjoyed entertaining, performing, and expressing myself through dance ever since. At the age of nine is when I took dance more serious by taking my training and commitment to the next level in improving my craft. LEXEE - I first discovered my passion for performing when I was 5 years old at a local dance studio! The minute I went on stage, I fell in love!!! How/when did you meet each other? LARSEN - I met Lexee dancing in North Hollywood taking dance classes together, then spending time with each other doing modeling shoots, and attending cool events together. LEXEE - We met at dance classes and auditions and soon became besties after getting to know each other. What’s one of your favorite projects/jobs you have done together? LARSEN - Just recently, we both danced on stage with Janet Jackson at the Santa Barbara Bowl. It was an amazing experience and it was cool to experience this together! LEXEE - Yes, we just performed with Janet Jackson together and it was amazing, but I love doing any job with my bestie! Who are some other people you’ve worked alongside recently? LARSEN - I have been blessed to be a part of two official music video releases from Capital Records over the past six months – Silento’s Watch Me Whip, and Edens The Weekend. LEXEE - I just worked with Sharon Osbourne, and she is the sweetest!! What other brands do you indorse? LARSEN - I am a brand ambassador for PopularTV in modeling and enjoy collaborating with brands in social media like Kohl’s, HP, Stance, David Yurman, and others. LEXEE - I feel so blessed to indorse many companies such as Adidas, Dolls Kill, and Zara Terez! Any other big projects or jobs coming soon? LARSEN - I will be co-starring in an upcoming dance reality television program, look forward to sharing more in the near future with you all! LEXEE - Yes, but I have to keep quiet! Favorite genre of dance? LARSEN - Hip Hop and Contemporary are two genres that I love and most relate too. LEXEE - That's a hard one!!! Hip hop or contemporary! Favorite song right now? LARSEN - Taylor Swift – Wildest Dreams LEXEE - Hello by Adele or Jumpman by Drake and Future. I know what you're thinking. I guess you could say my taste in music is VERY diverse. Favorite choreographers/dancers you look up to? LARSEN - Choreographers in the industry I look up to are Brian Friedman, Janelle Ginestra, Will Adams, Jess Warfield, and the entire Pulse faculty. LEXEE - Janelle Ginestra, Willdabeast Adams, Teddy Forance, Chloe Arnold, and all of my amazing friends! What’s one of your must-haves during a rehearsal? LARSEN - Water and perfume! LEXEE - H2O! I always have to have water!!! Do you get nervous before performances? LARSEN - Yes, but I do my best to shake it off. LEXEE - Yes! I get nervous every time I perform! But, what's the point of performing if you don't get that thrill when you're backstage??? That feeling is what I live for! When you’re not dancing, what are you usually doing? LARSEN - Hanging with my friends and family, then catching up on plenty of sleep/rest. LEXEE - SHOPPING. I have a passion for fashion. How did you get involved with SICKY Eyewear? LARSEN - I met the owner John at the SICKY’s event where a mutual friend – Collin Owens – introduced us. LEXEE - Larsen and I were invited to one of their parties, and it kind of took off from there!! What does “SICKY” mean to you? LARSEN - SICKY means insanely cool, super fun, and fashionable. LEXEE - To me, "SICKY" means whatever you want it to mean! It can literally be used in every sentence that comes out of your mouth. John could tell you that. HAHAHA! Favorite pair of SICKY sunglasses? LARSEN - I love my S6 Lavender sunglasses! LEXEE - The new 2016 S15 Red Tortoise Swirl, THEY ARE TO DIE FOR!!!
