Three Man Wolf - An exercise in golf gambling, game theory, and psychological warfare
A peek inside of our #GolfTrip with an in-depth discussion of one of our new side games. Three Man Wolf - An exercise in golf gambling, game theory, and psychological warfare
There may come a day when I hand over the reins of the Golf Trip to someone else, but for now, I love this stuff.
I am our golf trip captain. That makes me a dictator, consensus builder, logistician, travel agent, handicap committee chairman, tournament chairman, billing department, menu planner, and group secretary. These are all jobs that I am happy to perform.
None of these tasks bring me as…

I can’t stop thinking of headcanons for how Persona 5’s story might continue. o_o;
After Haru’s deliberate line at the end, about wanting everyone’s opinion about a friend’s problem, it’s pretty clear that their story will continue, likely to fix that friend’s problem. And they’re driving Akira home. Ryuji said that they wouldn’t take Akira straight back to his home, because they wanted to have some bonding time, road trip shenanigans.
But what if they take Akira home, and it’s Inaba? If you meet Ryuji in the arcade on 3/19, he says he’ll visit Akira in his hometown, and one of Akira’s dialogue options is to say there’s nothing in his hometown. Isn’t that how people described Inaba?
But even if that’s not an excuse to visit Inaba, every road trip needs a pit stop, right? Isn’t Inaba a roadside town or something? Maybe resupply at Junes or eat at their food court, where Teddy is still working as a greeter? I wonder if Teddy & other Persona users can understand Morgana, when they walk through the doors.
We know that Persona 4’s spinoffs included fighting games and A dancing game. So first off, the P5 cast will probably end up in a situation where they’ll be forced to fight. With P5’s Palaces, it’ll be very convenient to put the cast into a fighting tournament situation. The reasoning won’t have to be as complex as Persona 4 Arena’s. They can just enter someone’s Palace—and guess what? It’s a coliseum or something, where all the cognitions of people are running a tournament and much more organically forcing the cast to fight, even each other. But it’ll be more interesting to see them fight the cast members from the previous Persona game, since P4 Arena included P3 characters for cross-over matches. Though, it won’t be hard to get the P4 cast to fight the P5 cast. I imagine that the P4 cast, especially the aspiring police officers, will be overly-suspicious of the P5 cast, maybe even saying that their Phantom Thief costumes peg them as sinister. Though, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Shadow Operatives were already investigating the Phantom Thieves, after they became so famous and spread their last calling card all over Japan. ^^;
As for that dancing game, I haven’t got any headcanons for that yet. But since P4 Dancing All Night had to do with Rise and her idol career…maybe P5’s Dancing All Night will have something to do with Ann’s modeling career? Who knows?

me: do you like kingdom hearts?
them: yeah, but not the side games, they suck.
me, shoving breadsticks in my purse: i dont even owe you an explanation for leaving.
Kingdom hearts should make a game where you play as all the "sidekicks" like Mushu, an Abu, or the mice from Cinderella, and you go on side adventures, that lead up to a critical turning point in the main movies, like the mice getting buttons beating lucifer etc. maybe Mushu's journey to find Mulan. Etc
