Studio Portraiture Research

Lighting Techniques - Side Lighting
After researching different types of side lighting in the studio I would like to recreate the image above. I would like to recreate this image using a male model instead of a female to create more mood in the image. Side lighting is harsh light cast onto one side of the models face and to darken the opposite side of the face.
