Human heads start with a round shape for the skull
But the skill itself is not round
It tends to look more oval from the side
This shape starts our skull
The first one is the front of the face
The second is to show about where the bridge of the nose is
The third shows roundabout the middle of the head
Since the cranium is so big, I like to put the nose line lower on the oval
With our guidelines in place, we can add our bigger parts
I like to add the neck in first
Shape and size of the neck is up to the artist
From here, I add a box JUST A BIT offset from the front face line, while in line with the center of the head
After the box, from the tip of the top outside corner to the bottom of the box where the front line connects, draw a straight line
Then, offset the jaw lines about the same distance and round off the neck
Nose types will vary (I have my own personal list at the end) but eyes are always about here
They may seem small, but they are smaller from the side than the front due to perspective
And then the ear is from the top of the eye to the bottom of the nose
The bottom of the nose touches the front line before taking another line to touch that offset let
That touch point can then be turned into lips!

Bottom lip general shape (pointing to a circle)
