Sidebar Games’ Golf Story has received a lot of attention from Nintendo Switch owners since its release in late September.
After putting more than 17 hours into the game myself, I can say without hesitation that it deserves the attention. I can’t say, though, that it deserves to be compared with Nintendo’s EarthBound (or Mario Golf, for that matter) as often as it is.
Why do I say that? I hate to be coy, but check out my Golf Story review for more on why I believe that and for more of my thoughts on this RPG-flecked sports game in general, too.
Encountered a cool glitch in Sports Story where I got stuck in place while trying to kick the pinecone. Instead, the game just let me kick the pinecone in any direction from afar.
I’ve seen Smash Bros. mods that let you do this with the Falcon Punch by hitting opponents from afar, but never encountered it happening in another game from a glitch.
