Today, Sidekick friends, we say goodbye to an era. If you watched Way Too Many Batmen (our behind the scenes vlog), you will recognize this space as our rehearsal space, our communal space, and, for a handful of us, our home. She wasn’t the first to go, as we said goodbye to the bench from BAB a few months ago, but she is certainly a difficult one. (Fun fact, the bench from Birds and Bats sat in this very room as a coffee table for over a year!) Smiles, laughs, tears and shouts have all been had here, and we will remember her fondly. For broke college students, she was a saving grace—rehearsal spaces alone account for an incredible expense in budgets, and we were working with a budget of roughly... $0. (That said... we are so excited to move onto the next step, and preferably rehearse in a space that does not have someone’s bed in it twenty or so feet away.) Regardless, she is a part of the Sidekick family, and we will miss her dearly. So thank you, 2A! We love you very much.
