Things We Did in the Dark Hockey RPF | Sid/Geno, Various Minor OFCs | Explicit | 18K Inspired loosely by this article in The Athletic detailing Sid and Geno’s bond. In particular the anecdote about Geno’s first year in the show and him looking to Sid for advice in picking up American girls. An exploration of sexuality and the intricacies of growing into yourself in the spotlight. Written for @goodnightpuckbunny. Endless gratitude to @sevenfists for bullying me lovingly into sticking with my gut. ♡
She raised her beer to her mouth and took a long drink. She was a little intimidating. Sid kind of liked it. He'd nearly forgotten his intended task when Cassidy nodded her head at Geno lingering. "Who's your friend?" As if she didn't already know his name.
"Evgeni," Geno said, shouldering in next to Sid. "Penguins. Seven-One. Hi."

"Always tell you, Sid," Geno says, as he softly squeezes Sid's shoulder, his ring glittering as the lights above them play about, "We magic together."
Sid can't help but press his head closer to Geno's rumbling voice and smile.
Looking up at the sparks, Sid thinks to himself that he always knew it in his heart too.
