Like buong movie, iniintindi ko si Sid kasi alam ko kung bakit siya naging ganun katigas at all what he is - is a product of his trauma from the past. Even his own family could not save him, actually even the wife is not willing to save him anymore. He was a good father that was very evident, but on the other hand, he's dealing with his trauma.. and God knows how hard it is to live while you have all that insecurities and fear in your head. It is not easy! Isipin mo nalang infected siya, pero not physically but mentally and emotionally. Hindi lahat ng sakit, physical - we should be aware of it. This kind of mind infection is deadly too.. Anyone could take his/her own life para lang hindi makaapekto sa ibang tao. That's the hard reality, and it not very acceptable to all people. Akala nila pag masama yung ugali, it's just because masama ka talaga. They automatically despise you. Hindi nila alam na we also need help to calm our thoughts down, and not to do those things that could hurt.
Though I understand the wife and kids' reason to leave, but it's just so sad that after Sid gave his best to protect and provide for the family, in the end, hindi padin pala magiging sapat. Nakakainggit yung mga taong walang trauma noh? They'll just casually say that Sid is a psycho and that Sid is dangerous. Yes I agree but how I wish there are ways to help these people, get them diagnosed and have a support system.
This is just my take.
