GILMORE GIRLS
Nah | haven’t seen yet | didn’t like/gave up | like it | love it | highly recommend.
a reason why: I watched Gilmore Girls from beginning to end since the very first episode, and while I did enjoy the early seasons and I still love the banter, the fast-paced dialogues filled with pop culture references, and the quirky townspeople, I’ve grown to dislike the title characters. I think Lorelai and Rory are entitled, annoying, self-involved assholes - the type of people I would loathe in real life, and tbh, after the revival, I do kind of loathe them. I just don’t find them charming and endearing anymore, and the show has lost its appeal to me. With every season, Lorelai’s and Rory’s decisions made less and less sense and they became more infuriating and irritating to watch. And to bring back the show and end it in on that note, knowing that that was the intended original ending? I think it’s just awful writing.

Honestly Rory’s chilton graduation speech where she’s talking about wanting to be Lorelai and I’m honestly tearing up typing this omg and Luke’s fucking “I’m blubbering you guys are freaks” it’s just so beautiful and heartwarming and it’s makes me sobbbb every damn time
lemme just say i’m sure this isn’t uncommon especially on here but i have that entire speech memorized and i turn into luke every time i watch it ALSO can we just talk about luke for a second and how amazing he is and how he has always been there for rory and how proud he is of her it’s just so amazing...
and richard and emily lookin so proud and happy when they get a shout out in her speech :))))) but the parts about lorelai were obviously the best I MEAN “i don’t know if she ever realized that the person i most wanted to be was her” what the fuck is that shit just let me die
