How To: Build a Trebuchet out of cardboard
Step 1 Draw a diagram Most trebuchet's include a counterweight and an arm and a pivot system in order to propel the object
Step 2 gather cardboard: you dont need alot but it has to be sturdy dont cut up boxes and try to tape them together tape boxes together
step 3 begin constructing the base: Trebuchets commonly have square bases once this is assembled the rest is far easier to build
step 4: assemble the arm and counterweight if you want to stick to the all card board an old paper towel roll with a Dixie cup taped to the end works great bounty's cardboard roll is the strongest that i have seen
step 5 attach the arm to the base using string run the string through the arm and through both sides of the base this makes an easy pivot system
step 6 attach counter weight to arm
step 7 set up firing mechanism ( a small cardboard boxes that can fit in the base with a string attached works great simply set the counter weight up on this box and when your ready to fire pull the box out from under it
step 8 FIRE THE TREBUCHET ya it may not work great but it should work so hay whens the last time you have done something as cool as that
