NICE THOUGHTS CHALLENGE: I'd like you to say 5 nice things about yourself publicly and then send this to 10 of your favourite followers.
Today is a bad day for good thoughts. Which is all the more reason to try, I suppose.
1) I like my voice. As anyone who has had the misfortune of accidentally trigger a paragraph of sorkinesque-hyperbole can attest to.
2) When I find a groove, I can write things I like to read.
3) I am usually able to be pragmatic and calm in the face of extreme emotional adversity.
4) I make nice cups of tea.
5) I am doing better than I was.
Not unequivocal, but this has been a fortnight where the snakes outnumber the ladders. Now to tag people. Watch out people, for the time of the tagging shall be upon you. (Unless you wish to ignore it completely, in which case do that thing)
What's bad about tea? The only problem I see with tea around here is that people will put a half-cup of sugar in a cup of tea. It seems it's not tea unless you can shake it and it looks like a Christmas paperweight

This tumblr post not directed at anyone in particular
(take a picture of) 1 (because I like your tea porn, and well, we know what the probability is like), 2 (because I'm curious what you'll take it with), 7, 13, 17 (because I'm curious if you have any/a favourite), 20, 26 (because you'll have to pick), 32 (but you don't have to say why if you don't feel like it), 40. Or any subset thereof.
1.What you're drinking.
Tea. Specifically:
Earl Grey Blue Star, from Yumchaa, my favourite tea shop in London.
2.Your mobile phone.
(because I'm curious what you'll take it with)
:-P
7.Your favorite stuffed animal/toy.
Browner, Or Brownie, or varients on those, he never really had a real name that stuck. I believe he was a present from my grandparents while I was still in the hospital with my mum, and my parents have a photo of me crawling around with his fur still golden. That was nearly 33 years ago.
13.Something random.
Given "Something weird" is latter down the list, I chose the easy route on this one:
17.Your favorite piece of jewelry.
This isn't actually it, it's just the only piece I currently have. The rest is with my Empire kit, because all my jewelry is larp kit. My favourite bit of jewelry is a seven-part puzzle-ring I bought two of as the wedding rings for my character and my character's fiancee. It all ended horribly, but the important bits are that he thought a puzzle-ring was a suitable wedding ring (He was a priest of the goddess of free thinking), and learnt how to make them so he could do this (About a year of downtime making this plan happen); and his fiancee never took off the bit of wire that meant she'd ever have to try and solve it.
This, however, is the first bit of larp jewelry I ever bought, it represented the magical focus for my slightly crazy fire mage.
20.Something important to you.
Cheating on this, because I couldn't think of a good answer. So, my space:
26.Something blue.
This is a hat knitted to me by my friend Rosemary, and sent as part of a thank-you package from friends who have free web hosting accounts on my server. It is shaped like a teapot, and also blue:
32.Something that brings back a good memory. (but you don't have to say why if you don't feel like it)
A square postit note. Not this one, but the real one has writing on it which would give the reason away :)
40. Something weird that you own.
So, there was a game called Socks & Puppets, where you gave a description of a thing you would like, and people would send you their interpretations of them, and you would send other people your interpretations of the things they asked for. In this game, I asked for "Something that would stop anyone using my head a cup for a large gin & tonic", and one of the things I got was this. It reads:
Weevils Marvellous Shampoo.
Guarenteed grosser than the leading competitor!
100% sure to stop anyone using your head for Gin & Tonic - or anything else!
Unsuitable for daily use - or ever.
Ingredients: Shampoo, Shower gel, Ketchup, Soy sauce, Gravy, Coffee, Paint, Rose Syrup, Olive Brine, Lemonade, Basil, Sunflower Oil, Toothpaste, Polo.
Clean + Tasty!
I think I must have got this about 4 years ago. It smells worse now than it did then, on the rare occasions I open it to find out.
For Sabbat: ♞, ❄, ☁.
♞ What's the most heroic thing you have ever done?
S: (transcribed) Ain't a fucking hero. Ain't that fucking stupid.
A: He's saved my life several times. I would argue that that in itself is heroic, and more so when his general lack of empathy is taken into consideration.
❄ What calms you down when you're upset?
S: Killing things.
A: ...I will admit that, there, he is rather more accurate than usual. I can calm him down when needed, but if it comes to that, the situation has gone further from my control than I would like.
☁ Who do you miss the most?
S: No-one.
Do you find yourselves explicitly talking to each other (i.e. forming full sentences and arguments rather than simply knowing what you would all say to each other)? If so, do you find that any/all of you use the body at that point to vocalise their responses? And, if so, is there a tendency to which one of you (assuming it's not all of you) verbalises, e.g. the fronter or perhaps one of you? (Feel free to ignore any and all of these questions, I will not take offence; I hope I haven't offended.)
Finally getting around to answering this, with apologies for the delay (and absolutely no offence taken (and apologies for the gratuitous parentheses, as I am tired and cannot brain)):
We do have full conversations with each other quite a lot (especially if one of us is having a particularly awful day). Vocalising-wise, whoever's fronting tends to be the one to verbalise if we're in a space where it's safe to do so, though we have had times when several people have been using the body to talk at the same time (which is weird as hell).
