North Lake, Eastern Sierras (In Explore) by punahou77 Via Flickr: This was taken from a really great trip a couple of years ago. North Lake is a short drive-up Highway 68 into the Sierras out of Bishop. I like to use the hostel as a base camp and it's in a great location. This view is from the upper parking area for the lake. There is another location on the other side of the lake that is used by the fisherman. They stock this lake and I caught a few planters out of it. There were a few people using floats to fish around the lake. It is a pretty spectacular location to take in and enjoy.
